The “tyrant lizard king” – Tyrannosaurus rex – might have belonged to a dynasty. A research team has proposed splitting the famous species into three, with Tyrannosaurus imperator (tyrant lizard emperor) and Tyrannosaurus regina (tyrant lizard queen) taking their places next to T. rex.
